I have had the pleasure of working with Jackie as my trainer for over 2 years and he has helped me get a consistent focus and regular rythm on my health and training. Not only does he help me during our sessions by pushing me to "try that bit harder" than I would have done had I been working out on my own, he helps me with suggested exercises I do at home. For the longest time I had been cautious and skeptical of getting a personal trainer, but Jackie took the time to listen and understand my training goals and how it would fit into my overall health regimen. He then put an appropriate level and variety of activities together that keep me motivated and engaged - I was never able to maintain the discipline when I was trying it on my own, but now I am able to maintain my motivation and it works! I find big gyms, with lots of people confidently working on all sorts of weird and wonderful machines, rather intimidating and overwhelming. Jackie has done a great job of demystifying and introducing me to a whole range of apparatus that I would never have been comfortable trying on my own, and he does it in a way that I understand how to use the equipment in the right and safe way. I definitely recommend Jackie to both new and seasoned gym enthusiasts, he makes the experience enjoyable and he has a curious mind always interested in his clients and his own development!
